The term derives from 'squatting' and refers to the act of reserving a particular Internet domain name for the purpose of selling it at a higher price later.<br /><br /><br /><strong>Problems Faced:</strong><br /> A change allowing internet domain names to appear in Asian languages has sparked fears about a possible new wave of cyber-squatting...as reported by BBC.For the first time, domain names are being accepted by internet registrars in which everything to the left of the ".com" can appear in Chinese, Japanese or Korean.<br /><br /> The lack of internationalised domain names is creating a class of people who are information have-nots which finally leads to "<strong>Multilingual International Names Consortium</strong>".<br /><strong></strong><br />The whole point to tell is that:<br /><strong>This might be one of the reasons why : "www.google.com","www.googlr.com","www.googlw.com"....all lead to Google HomePage...</strong><br /><strong></strong><br />Well if anyone else has different views ...pls share them...<br /><br />Hoping to see some interesting facts about this whole issue!!!!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/24043311-114302760420592641?l=ashutoshinamdar.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Ashutosh Inamdarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15782341209775611019noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24043311.post-1142329616447192692006-03-14T14:58:00.000+05:302006-03-14T15:16:56.456+05:30A few days back when I was browsing....I typed " <a href="http://www.googlr.com">http://www.googlr.com</a> (since am very bad and slow in typing) and found that the GOOGLE homepage loads itself....<br /><br />Then later i tried all the keys in and aroung "e" and also fount that " www.googlw.com" leads to Google Homepage....<br /><br />It is as if the googlers know the shortcomings of the IE Browser Users in typing that they have come up with this idea....They know that while you type the Address inthe address bar there are a number of intances where you end up typing a couple of characters which are ADJACENT to the correct ones.<br /><br />Thus google has come up with this Idea,in which a slight change inyour end character in the same row does not make any difference....(Please dont try anything else than"e" and "w".
